Ingredients for 2 People
- 4 sponge fingers (ladyfingers)
- 70 ml of Quinto Café coffee - we recommend our Aquiares from Costa Rica
- 1 egg yolk
- 30 grams of icing sugar
- 120 grams of mascarpone cheese
- 1 tablespoon of pure cocoa powder
How to Make Tiramisu Cups (Express Recipe)
- Difficulty: Easy
- Total time: 10 minutes
- Preparation: 10 minutes
1. Prepare the base of the glasses
- Place a broken-up sponge finger in the bottom of each glass.
- Lightly soak the pieces with Quinto coffee.
2. Mix the ingredients:
- Whisk the egg yolk with the icing sugar. If you're using a Thermomix, mix for 2 minutes at speed 3.
- Add the mascarpone and whisk again until smooth. With a Thermomix, mix for 1 minute at speed 3.
3. Assemble the glasses:
- Spread a layer of mascarpone cream over the sponge fingers.
- Add a second layer of sponge fingers soaked in Quinto Café coffee and cover them with the remaining cream.
4. Chill
- Put the glasses in the fridge so the cream sets. The longer they rest, the better the result.
5. Decorate and serve
- Just before serving, dust cocoa powder over the top of each glass.
- If you like, decorate with coffee beans for an extra touch of elegance.
Tips for a Perfect Tiramisu
- Coffee makes the difference: Use a specialty coffee like Quinto Café for an authentic, deep flavour.
- Make it your own: You can add a dash of liqueur such as Amaretto or rum to the coffee for a special touch.
- Give it time: Although it's a quick recipe, letting the glasses rest in the fridge for at least 2 hours brings out the flavours.
