AQUIARES Coffee from COSTA RICA | HONEY

Aquiares is the largest coffee farm in Costa Rica, a place where sustainability, regenerative agriculture and quality come together. We wondered where the name Aquiares came from and discovered that in the Indigenous Huetar language it means “land between rivers”. The farm lies between 820 and 1,400 metres above sea level, in the mountains of Turrialba.

Diego Robelo is the new generation of producers at Aquiares and leads the post-harvest and sustainability processes. He firmly believes that for the farm to stay highly productive it needs good agricultural practices: from planting shade trees and protecting the local birds and wildlife to managing water well.
